Naked Ladies

“Come see my naked ladies,” he laughed
with a twinkle in his eye
I looked at Dad and wondered how
Mom put up with this lie!

He said, “They’re lovely, tall and slender,
Their faces, oh so pink!”
I wondered what he meant by that!
He really made me think!

“They started out so small and fair,
…Your mother wants them out of here!
but now they’re simply everywhere!”
No wonder Mom held back his beer!

Dad, he chuckled and walked along
Down to his ladies all in pink
There we were in the front lawn
And I didn’t know what to think!

“Naked ladies?  So, where are they?”
“Why right here,” was all he said.
I looked and grinned, for he was right
Ladies Long and Slender, with Pink Heads.

Karilea, when I saw the title and started reading, I thought, bou your dad sure had some nerve talking about naked ladies. Until I got to the end. LOL! Those are beautiful flowers. (No offense, I hope). Love the poem.

Kari darling sister of my heart this is such a fun read I love this darling girl. Always you manage to capture the moment and make it alive and vibrant. I could see the scene, beautiful snapshot of your life darling heart. Thank you for the wonderful picture and the smile today. I need all the smiles I can get right now. I love it. The sheer joy of this utter delight is magnificent. I love the flow the touch of magic that simply bubbles through this delight.

Foul!!!  I've been hornswoggled!  And you made it look too easy, too!  Woe is me.  What will everybody think when they realize how easily you fooled me?  pst, Karilea, I like the one on the left - I think she's winking at me!

BTW - I like the flow in this poem.

Well now, you learn something new everyday. The flowers are lovely and so is your poem. Enjoyed. Chris

Nothing like making good use of a title!

Really crafty aren't we???

Watch out, now my thumb is gonna turn green
cause I now know what one flower is...Errrr,
I do know what a rose and tulip look like..
OK?

Beautiful poem KJ....but I still feel you
