Card’s Dark Side In her gilt of golden thread At her table, she held her stead Flushed a shuffle of card in hand “Show me the future” was his demand She turned a lady, a Queen of Heart He waited silent, a good start She turned a Jack, Knave in black Laid him on lady, began to stack No numbers showed the hours spent Face cards only, the gaming went His demand, to see prospects And she held all in circumspect Her hands were fine, she trembled not As by his eyes, her gaze was caught In her silence she dealt the cards And with each flick, he swallowed hard Too soon, his life was dealt She dared not ask him how he felt And he, but with a moan gone cry Couldn’t stand, although he’d try “Could it be as it is so?” She nodded yes, the cards did know That his life had been foreseen By the woman in his dreams Before his eyes, he eyed the Queen The darker Jack, the Knave of Dreams |

A very unique writing style compliments the visions you are trying to relay to the reader, well done. We should spend less time on worrying when our life is going to end and more on when it's going to start! [This message has been edited by Mysteria (05-09-2002 03:34 PM).] |

"Dark Jack- Knave of Dreams" Well struck with branding aglow marked in contrast but only in the mark burns the soul out unremitting and the eys go blind in I to dark Well done EH |
