Silently she rode into the night
bloodied from the battle waged
freedom flowed around her head
She rode, no longer caged

He held her heart in captivity
assuming she would acquiesce
he planned to enslave her there
as the object of his caress

His soured breath lingered
where his lips found her cheek
she swooned, thinking quickly
leading him to think her weak

Then with the strength of Angels
she pushed hard and knocked him down
then running out the castle door
in nothing but her nightgown

She stole the stallion from the barn
riding past the hedge on the lane
with one glance back, she found
deliverance only bravery could attain

YES!!! I need a STALLION!!!!

exquisite story here, and this type of tale happens to be your forte'! I wish you would repost some of your Goddess work as well. *shaking my head* You are so quiet sometimes I forget you pack a punch with the pen too!

Loved this, love you.

BRAVO!!! Yes, yes, oh Sharon, to me I saw this as a poem of how women are always taken advantage of unfairly and how one woman had the strength to say "No, I've had enough, I've got to get away!" and following her heart! YES!!! I love it, sweet friedn, this is excellent, my heart goes out to all who are affected by this and I only wish we could all love with heart and sincerity, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sharon, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Yanno...I've known a bunch of "Maidens"...and most seem very unfair to me?....I know you know your Bible...right?...Yanno when Eve ate the apple they became embarrassed about their bodies and covered themselves with fig leaves...I used to import and export small animals and reptiles....two girls lived next to me and used to cook me meals all the time....we had this old crab apple tree in the back yard and this snake died, I put it over one of the limbs to freak out the girls at our barbecue....the girls saw it, and indeed freaked out...I said;, What the hell, the snake's dead, the apples back...lets get out of these damn clothes...ya wanna?...Well, this is a perfect example of 'unfair" maidens...they declined
