Somehow skin is heat fed and healing
while two traces of an ache are still there in the back and counting.
Always counting yesterday and cotton for hours
slick white fingers in a row, four five.

Pink-hushed lids slow closed with a smile
the kind that sighs the sunshine right inside and thankful.
Always thankful for the birth and blooming
for the return of something far deeper than explanation.

If I could weigh the promises and calculate the turn
I’d spend an afternoon in the dirt, stone scribing the results and wishing.
Always wishing with a handful for the next
and the thaw of the cold push of infection on the other side.

Alicia

Your poetry always has so many levels, feels so deep, I am almost afraid to venture a theory, instead just let it sweap me up in an emotion that doesn't need explanation.  For I think I understand, how you can love  the feel of both sides of life.

Alicia...I love poems that make me think.  And you have quite a lot of pondering ability rambling around in this one.  So, my dear, you have given me a Keeper!  Thank you!

amazing. . . yes. . . simply amazing. . .

I know that you've been here before. . . this just proves it. . . now, keep listening to that voice. . . you'll find that you can understand it more now. . .

excellent work. . .

~Sandra, it was nice to post, so thank you for reading, always, and for finding it pleasing, really. Keep me posted k? on yourself, and well wishes sent from down here.   .

~Martie, your reply, honest and delightfully taken, with the feeling that there is understanding and I'm overwhelmed really that you continue to come and read. Thank you.

~Karilea, thank you! for coming, and thinking and keeping. Gosh, keeping,...trips me tickled.

~Noah, your endless reading, the encouragement and smiles, thank you.

~Eddie, always nice to see you, seems we stop in randomly and always pass eachother along the way, thankful for your reading this.

~Sven, thank you for reading and sensing me here, where I am, and for remembering me here before. Two hands tight. I'm holding on.

~You know C, I suppose not getting where I'm going could have to do with the fact that this was a 5 minute break from a study session, it just had to be here, or that I just have no skill. All you really need to know though is that I feel good, and that I'm taking the pretty? as a compliment with a smile, because I usually produce such grotesque, scarred up things. Thank you, really.

~Serenity, that other side can be such a ***** though, lol, god I love when you read. And thank you thursday for your words.

*Peace poet crowd,...have a sunshine-y day!   .
