Fall Out Of Love |

I poured a cup of coffee, while the rain was pouring down. The cloudy sky a heavy hand, on our south Texas town. I walked out on the front porch, and I leaned against the rail, And for the thousandth time, I asked myself just where I’d failed. Was it time I didn’t give you, as I spent it on the job- Was it failure to consider, it was you my work did rob? Or could it simply be that, when the push turned into shove- We thought about it carefully, and then fell out of love? I really cannot answer all the questions life does pose- My mind is filled with sad regret; I crushed a lovely rose. The tender flower of first love, so delicate and pure- The harshness of reality, so seldom can endure. I wonder why the hand of fate, in arbitrary choice- Does twist the tapestry of lives, give pathos to their voice. Sometimes it seems, that darts of doubt, like lightning from above- Shatter hearts, and hearths, and homes, when we fall out of love. |

I LOVE THIS!!! It is written so perfectly...the thoughts..the rhymes!! Your poem is going straight into my personal library so I can enjoy it again later! If this is your current situation then I hope love finds its way back to your sweet heart! |

Well now Gunslinger, this one is very heartfelt....I feel your longing for the questions left unanswered. Enjoyed. Chris Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |

Hey G.S. a truely sensitive piece from your heart. I understand what you mean, the longing and regret, you've captured it well. Nice to see your work here again. When I first started out here in Passions, you were one of the first ones to reply to my poem and bid me welcome. Glad to still have you around. Take care. |
