In moments of black grief
And the vast and hollow pit of despair
Their voices soothe me,
Rouse me, wake me.
They belt out my pain aloud
Then croon me into sleep.
When in utter desolation,
Treading upon my very spirit
That lies flat beneath my feet,
I touch the switch and I am gone.

They draw me out, some different dimension
Or seep in to replace the essence of me
With moans and laments,
With keening and whispers,
And I am lost within the blend
Of sweet and clear piano notes, like water
Tinkling on ice; the human cry of violins,
The drawn out wail of a lonely guitar
And the busy drums that bind them together
Into a tangible sea of sound--

Click.

The magic's over.

What word pictures you paint.  Some parts are dark and then it gets light with music.  A very different way with words.  Thanks for sharing,  ME

Great imagery, I agree.
