Nineteen is a train wreck of priorities
Steam Engine number 36-24-36
College caboose
Everyone stops to watch
Some pick up pieces
Most just stare
My train rides on rails of fear
They are restricting
I Shovel more coal
More coal
More coal
I am going to get where I'm going today
I have to
There are deadlines
I don't know where I'm going
In the darkness of a tunnel I see your train approaching
You too are rushing at unknown destinations
The collision in inevitable
Nineteen is a train wreck of priorities

yes, 19 is wonderful, ain't it? Enjoy it all! Do not rush it on, just sit back and breathe it in...Kevin, I love this! You'll realize what I'm saying when you're 30.

Hi Kevin~
This is a delightful write and it's funny how those priorities in another 10 years will be so different, enjoy 19 it's the best time of your life.

Kevin,
Since your traveling at a high rate of speed at nineteen I would say so. Well done

Kevin,

Insightful and well written.  As with the others....wait until you are 45.  The train-wreck gets worse and better.  I guess that is why life is such an adventure.

Now that I am much older I wish that I had dated many more women of nineteen with those measurements...ah yes nineteen is a lovely time...and the perfect time for a young man to enjoy life...that is when he is not studying...James
