There is a Rose There is a rose vine in the soul Inherently it grows Yet few are truly well aware They bear a sacred rose Invisibly it’s seed is sewn Intrinsically it sprouts And blooms to fullest vibrancy In throws of deepest doubts It’s the weathervane of conscience It’s the beauty of our deeds It’s the flower bestowed another In the hour of darkest needs From whence the seed was planted there How deep the roots have grown Is an answer that the spirit spares For tenure of its own The rose defines inherent love Regard for all mankind And it’s fragrances appear in times Of frailties of the mind The petals will caress the heart With what it knows as true And the heart looks to another face With all respect that’s do Inherent grace of soul’s desire The roses on a vine Grow silently in gardens place And spread to heart and mind It’s not from heritage it blooms Nor home from which it’s bred It’s born with child and nurtured As the vines so gently spread Innate is love that’s given to all From where nobody knows It’s there within the depths of soul And beauty of a rose Elizabeth Santos |

Liz, you write of roses often, and I bet in all those poetry books there are enough poems of roses to get at least one book published called, "Petals Of A Rose", I keep trying to get this done don't I? That rosette was also a beautiful addition to the book I haven't bought yet. Imagination is more important that knowledge |

I do believe your little trip did you a world of good! You have been pulling magic out of a very special hat, it seems! Keep it up! |

As you might suspect, I have a special affinity for poetry of the rose. (I wrote one or two as Mike) Beautifully written, enjoyed much. |

(smiles) Awwwwwww, this is sooooooo pretty, sweet friend, may the rose of our hearts always bloom and may blessings always kiss it like a honeybee looking for nectar! (kiss on cheek) This is breathtaking, sweet friend, we all love you so much! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |
