When I turn ten, ...I'll eat no peas, I'll not say thanks ...nor pretty please, I'll take no baths, ...or wear clean clothes, And if I want, ...I'll pick my nose, I'll watch TV ...from noon til night, And with my sister, ...I'll pick a fight, I'll never put ...my toys away, I'll switch the toothpaste, ...with Ben Gay, I'll drink coffee ...from a cup, Cause when I'm ten, ...I'll be grown up. But now I'm good, ...because I'm eight, And being bad ...will have to wait. When I turn ten, ...I'll run away, I'll sail the seas, ...feel ocean's spray, Ride a camel, ...go fly a plane, Or fight a bull, ...in sunny Spain, I'll go to bed, ...at sun's first rise, Each day awake, ...to new surprise, 'Cause when I'm ten, ...I'll have no fear, "Come in now Tim," ...what's that I hear? It's Mom, I guess, ...I'll have to wait, Because you see, ...I'm only eight. |
