In the clay of roads, we watched our footsteps grow apart. In the clay of trees, our shadows branched their ways. In the clay of wind, the sun seemed dime gray, penny brown. In the clay of sea, we watched fall castles fade. In the clay of face, your eyes were living for my touch. In the clay of skin, puddles of your shade. In the clay of words, we watched our poems turn around. In the clay of earth, we buried what we made of clay. [This message has been edited by bsquirrel (05-02-2002 04:04 PM).] |
