Southern Circle late July heat swinging on the porch escaping the sun two o’clock air hangs heavy I’m not a woman to be out done bored, recycling the heat with thin cardboard on a stick inspiration then floods my mind as I remember where cool things grow thick I am a smart woman and don’t always come when called but I flew to the closet on the floor pulling my keds sprawled walked past the pasture to where the ground runs flat nothing here blocking so no shade just where the sun beats down hard at when I was a child I had discovered this place in a moment of hurt somewhere only I could embrace the ground still felt familiar though I hadn’t been here in years like seeing someone you deeply loved and lost I bit my lip to hold back the tears and there they were black, sweet and thick as my fathers thumb no one but the birds and I knew about them they were where incredible cobbler flowed from small miracles on a thorny bush included on every vine they and the scratches will be my reward a southern circle worked out in time |

BLACKBERRIES!! OMG!! NOW you're speaking my language, Lady! LOL! I hope I'm not wrong about this. This was wonderful! How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so. |

Ooo, the prequel to Blackberry Cobbler. Y' keep making me more and more hungry. Which is what southern gals like to do to me (including my roomie!). |

WOW!!! BRAVO!!! This is a wonderful first part to a wonderful series all about yourself, sweet friend, I love it! (kiss on cheek) May all your scratches from before be rewarding now and fill you with faith and hope to what lies ahead for you, sweet friend, this is excellent, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Helen, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |
