Step with me, then through muggy fog our footsteps silence song of frog... past the stump of cypress knee into the bog past hermit's keep forget the shadows in the wood-- keep eyes on path, where they should remain lest lust deceive the eye already blind by tears I've cried So walk with me into the wood... Within a circled fairyring, there you'll dance-- I'll clap and sing stories told on harp and string in harmonies the fairies bring. May the moonbeams spark the leaves a spotlight of our dance, reprieve. Skyclad circles in the wood together, as we knew we would. I'll come again when you are gone if only just to hum the song... clasping knees in rock of tears the memory of lack of fear I'll keep the dirt you danced upon each mote--a note of this night's song. *repost from 16* |

Karen, I liked the emotions in this piece. Nicely done. It's never too late to have a good childhood! Woohoo! |

Verge of Darkness also from #16 Soft light, the beams of day before the night, Purple orange yellow red colors paint skies, Daydreams explore all the actions that might, With exit of fire globe leaves just sighs. To turn to the darkest that still remains Still watch as chill breeze nudge the restless clouds, That reluctantly gives up Sun’s red stain, There on the horizon a floating crowd. Streetlights, pale starlight and a hunter’s moon Shadows and shades returning reclaiming, Clatter and clamor the under sung tune, Darkness with dark lusting not restraining. ~ Will I see the morrow’s sun once more rise, ~ Or fall victim to fate’s nightly surprise.
