Psalms 31: 10 - 12 10: For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed. 11: I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me. 12: I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel. I walk slow, To where forth I do not know, Midst the pain, Through the rain, Away from sun in shadow, I walk slow. I collapse into a old crumpled mass, Waiting for old and weak knee’s pain to pass, To stand to walk and to continue on Searching for some place where I might belong. My lungs burn fire with each shallow breath, Yet I can not be consumed in glad death, But must go on to feel each painful glance That impales my soul with truth’s shining lance For sins that unknown are unforgiven, Events that remain always unshriven. My shallow sigh goes forth with cautious step, Painful journey that remains ever set. My tongue remains unmoving without sound I can not tell others of what I’ve found, They will never stop to listen to me This hideous form makes them all to flee, I can give no warning to save them all, Just to watch as slowly each soul does fall. Like I they too are full of desires, We’ll all be consumed by evil’s fires, They’ll die to their own grim purgatory While I’ll suffer in an endless story Walking with living and never to die, To always know pain and never to cry, Wandering in darkness always alone, To be ever friendless and without home. Of all that I have seen in my life, there is nothing so tragic as the death of hope. I enjoyed your posting. |

Thank you, Nakdthoughts, In this case a stroll through the corners of oblivion. Glad you liked. Thank you, Inclan, Tragic perhaps, but a harsh reality, And just as tragic as misplaced or unrealistic hope. Pleased you enjoyed. Gloom |

Thank you, Serenity, The wish: restore my mother’s health, The rest of the mess is only money, I’ve been poor before. Gloom |
