Paladin's challenge: "You never really die if you are remembered" We were seven, self-centred rascals who thought we knew all about the world, as yet untraumatised by the fact that Singapore is a mere dot on the world map We disliked each other Maybe it was because i was from Venus and you were from Mars Maybe it was because we were upright fellows, determined to prove how arrogantly self-righteous the other could be Anyway, we argued a whole lot, despite that your mum was around with your school bag and kid brother You couldn't even carry your own bag but you always held your own with me and granted me a good row And then you left school suddenly A seven-year-old's memory is short I missed you for a bit but then moved on to conquer my world I was twelve when i heard you had died of leukaemia I am sorry that you never grew up to realise how small your country is |

The memory of your friend then lives on, it's a pity that lives can be so short..and they are short in general well written |

I like the feeling of this faterider. . . it has that quality of "memories sped-up". . .you remember, and then, you fast forward to now. . . and give the reality. . . well done. . . ---------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

ecrivan, you just echoed my sentiments...i used to wonder that if i had known she was so sick, i might just get off my high house and be a tad nicer to her larry, i sure didn't think i was naive back then....anyway, i think it's a good thing to acknowledge that you were naive once..it shows that you are continually growing, for better or for worse John, thanks for your reply...i did what i had to do because i didn't really have much to go on, did i?(i only knew her for a few months, i think) hence, the fast forwarding to now...heeheee Interloper, thank you for your reply...She lives on in my heart and i hope never to forget her Paladin, Ditto your poetic reply...i wish you can turn that into a poem yourself..anyway, i have been searching for your poem in which you listed out this challenge but to no avail..i would like to read and respond to your poem too Noah, thanks..it's nice to know you have been missed, especially when Passions is such a big place these days..Big hugs back thanx all for reading |

Had to read some of your comments to determine if this were a true memory for it sounded so much to be. It's well done, very well done, really. We all wonder what we'd have done if we'd have known then what we know now. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |
