Hi, I am doing a quick survey to see what you guys think is the best hardware to build pc's. Your participation will be greatly appreciated. If you were going to build the perfect pc, what components would you use? Motherboard? Hard Drive? Graphics Card? Give me specifics. |

Specifications for the perfect car will depend on whether you intend to drive it to work or run it at Indy. Likewise, there is no single perfect computer. |

As Ron says it does depends on what you're looking for. Personally I do alot of graphics work and when I can, play the odd video game or crank out music. So all I really need is a dependable and powerful graphics card and speakers. My two essentials? An ATI Radeon series graphics card. I've found anything from this series works great and they do well in updating the drivers. Altec Lansing speakers and subwoofer, I absolutely adore these speakers and they sound great even working with my old ratty Soundblaster. I'll be thinking about the rest as soon as i can afford it right now the main concern is keeping my current hunk of junk alive. Susan and Dawn..ahem..phblllllllllllllt |

The perfect "computer" doesn't exist... But keep trying to achieve something that is the "almost" perfect computer... |

Yeh, I'm a bit late for this thread..lol..but I'm about to buy a new computer so I'll just tell you what i think! The computer I'm getting has 1.7GHz, and it's a centrino chip. 60gb hard drive. The graphics card is 128mb. It weighs 6.1 pounds. Um....15 inch screen. Can't think of the rest at the moment. lol. Hope this helps your survey! :> ~Alli~ |

Actually, Edder, check out the forums at THW. There are buyer guides there that are pretty darn good and spot on. |

quote: Hah. She's ordinarily a beautiful lady, but she was muy creepy in Stepford Wives. She smiled so hard it looked like her face was going to crack. *imagines Michael as a Stepford Husband* .... ... err ... no thanks. |
