Okay not sure if you all can help me or not, but I would LOVE to change my username. I chose the name Aimster seven years ago. It's a nickname my Dad uses on me from time to time. I would love to change my username to Amy or something though, as that is suits me now that I'm getting older.

Anyway this can be done????

Unless I am totally mistaken, you would be required to change your account in order to change your name.

What would you attempt to do...if you knew you could not fail?.

Hi Amy!

Ron used to do a "change name" sweep every once in a while, but I think it was a bit of a laborious task from a programming vantage. He can probably put you on the list if he does it down the road, as that would maintain your original history of posting.

Without waiting for that possibility above however, you would likely need to create a new account if you wanted to start fresh like Ringo mentioned above.

PS ... I like Aimster!

I don't know anything about name changing in here.  But, just for the record - Amy is a lovely name and you could sign your comments and poems with it.  Or maybe make a signature statement to go under your posts (if that makes any damn sense).  But "Aimster" is pretty special - and it's a wonderful tribute to your Dad.  Just my thoughts as I butt in on your thread.

If you try to register as "Amy" now, the closest you may get is probably something such as Amy#1592034395943

ok I get what you guys are saying

I'll stick to Aimster. I realize I wouldn't be able to get just Amy...as that is a really popular name. I was hoping for something like Amy377 or maybe even my cats names together LilyDudley LOL....but Aimster it is!!

Thanks for all your help

Just to further complicate this request..

The Username "Amy" was, in fact, registered with PiP way back in late 1999.  That member made only ONE post, and never returned - even to comment with a "thank you."  It's essentially an unused account.

I also like "Aimster," though..

I should register "Nanners" - shouldn't I?

I was thinking of changing my username to Prince Ess, just to make my gender a bit more clear

You guys are too funny!! I think I'll just keep Aimster...I suppose it has a bit of charm to it. I just was thinking of something a little different. No biggie though. Thanks for ALL the responses

Take care,

Amy
