Ok...I don't know what went on with this poem...One minute I was writing in a depressed state and the next I was cheerful and optimistic. I guess that's just what moving the pen across the paper does! Just remember not to breathe Remember not to go that far. Remember not to love And remember not to hate. Remember not what the past has brought; But remember the future ahead Remember not the exploding love But the soft wind that brought you back up Remember not your soul's desires But the secrets it holds inside Remember the times of quiet serenity And the carefree days you still hide Remember not the world's people Or the actions they carry out. Remember them for their soul And their mind, when you're in doubt. Remember tomorrow's hopes And not tomorrow's dues. Remember the stars of tonight And not yesterday's sorrowful hues. I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man. |

lol thank you Albert. You're so sweet and kind. I think it is I, though, that is becoming a fan of you! passing shadows: Yeah, it's like that. I don't particularly like it...It can make for a nonsense poem...But the flipside is that it can also make it intriguing...Just a thought I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man. |
