The rain fell like sheets of glass breaking
on the ground
crashing oh so loud

But my mind was distracted by thoughts of you
as I waited for a chance to talk one more time before work called you away

Each moment is like the first time we spoke
new and interesting almost matching the storm beyond my window never two alike

I step outside and taste the water falling from the sky and it reminds me of your cool and soothing satin lips as I laugh and remember my childhood years playing in the rain

You bring new life to me and I hope I return the joy for I sit here and wait again to hear from the Lady of my dreams or the next rainfall to come
