Its not that I am hiding
or running away from you
The time spent was terrific
and to be treasured

My other life catches up
and I am hiding from it
I need no problems
nor want upset apple carts

I want to be where I was
talking to valued friends
but my fingers must rest
when peering eyes prevail

Its only a coincidence
that wonderful things happen
and I must retire
until I can shine another day

When the ocean calms
from the stormy seas
will I again sail away
to my constant companion

I wait eagerly for the dark sky
to be filled with bright moonbeams
for the rainbow to appear
in a clearing sky

I know it looks unusual
but things happen
only to pass for another day
patience is hopeful

Do not look upon me
with distrusting eyes
I have been a friend
and a friend I will always be

If only everyone was so up front and matter of fact! I don't think anyone wants to have a chain around their neck! (not my dog anyway)

But.... It's so simple really, communication goes a long way, and the lack of it stifles a good thing.

Your friend is lucky to call you one.

Thanks for the nice thought and I do try hard to be a good friend. Friendship in my eyes should not be taken lightly.

I liked this alot. There are too many people in this world who don't know what it means to be a true friend. It helps keep hope alive to know that there are still sincere people walking this earth. ( How ever few and far between they may be.)
