To you my Friend That night you went to work was same as any other time before until two in the morning when you arrived at the scene Who knew how the domestic would go A shotgun blast hit you hard but you didn’t fall far A stand off began while you lay there and bleed until another officer came to your need they will hail you a hero but what does that truly mean I sit here typing this and wonder if they can save your eye all the while your wife and son sit and wait I wish I could be more poetic but my emotions seem to get in the way Soon I will drive over to New Orleans and see you until then I pray for your wounds to heal whole and your families’ nightmares to end This is to you Lance Remember Rule # 1 never listen to your rookie’s directions when lost between Mississippi and Louisiana Rule # 2 never listen to a prisoner Well here is Rule #3 never give hope on how things will turn out you always have a friend Thomas |

touching and painful... if based on fact and current.. I'll add my hopes to yours for the healing... |

a nice tribute to him. you should show it to him and his family, and maybe the responses to. let them know people do care when an officer goes down. my thoughts are with him. another good person defending US. -majnu |
