I have shut my ears to you And will no longer listen To the doubts and fears you whisper In each and every hour of breathing So… Break Bleed Cease I care not If I allowed your words To infect me I would flash in ignite Of fever and then delirious Would languish So I will not hear you, heart, Murmur the idea of love With all its requisite pain Anguish and failings I will shiver here In these layers Rather than have you Guide me someplace Warmer. Stop your pounding In my chest, Turn us both to ash That we might then Be scattered In mingle on the wind Perhaps then Perhaps when I am no more I can allow myself To listen, To know, Love again. |

Perhaps when I am no more I can allow myself To listen, To know, Love again. ~*~ a casing, in want of fill... yikes... I would ask you to do this again, but I fear I would read a blank page... you are SO good... |

To tell you which part is best I'd have to quote entire poem to not lose it's essence.... BUT, I do especially like this part: "If I allowed your words To infect me I would flash in ignite Of fever and then delirious Would languish So I will not hear you, heart, Murmur the idea of love" And, there is this line: "In mingle on the wind" I stand in awe at your talent of using words so economically, yet producing such richness...so satisfying... This made me teary eyed, it is heart touching. Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. "Desiderata" [This message has been edited by regards2you (02-25-2003 12:10 PM).] |

So I will not hear you, heart, Murmur the idea of love With all its requisite pain Anguish and failings I will shiver here In these layers Rather than have you Guide me someplace Warmer. Stop your pounding In my chest, Turn us both to ash That we might then Be scattered In mingle on the wind =================================== Your last several posts on this theme are just pure heart and gut poetry.... Youre writing from a depth below sea level ... youre writing from heights where the air thins.... when you write like this...it leaves the reader both holding their breath and inhaling your every word at the same time. Where the touch of lovers end and the soul of friends begin, |

Melancholia at perfection, to say more would be an even greater departure from the power of this piece. My tongue is "weak-kneed," my fingers "knotted," my synapses in synaptic pause. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

(big hugggssssss) I like the way Janet put this; you can speak so deeply yet the pain too can feel so far up in elevation where the oxygen is lacking and we can feel the pain of the words spoken like frostbite! (sad sigh) This is powerful, sweet friend, here's many healing hugs to you today, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ron, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Ron, sounds like running to a safe place - but sometimes safety is its own prison. Core |

When all the superlatives have been used... May I just say a simple...'thank you Captain'. ~Hugs~ ~ Trace my body with your words.. |
