Why Would She Be?

in times of metamorphosis
why would she be a sour puss

for witnessing metamorphoses
is something that would surely please

for from an ugly worm or grub
comes something one should not snub

for in the wings of beauty fly
a multi-colored butterfly

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
