The winds of change
Play games with your reality
At times lost in confusion
In it's totality.
Making you fear tomorrow
And regret yesterday-
Yes, those are the games
That change likes to play.

Change dosen't have to
Explain it's ways or actions
When you look back on your life
And it's different fractions-
When you look at the good times
As well as the bad
And all of the memories
You should have-
But never had...

Change always steers you
In another direction
Much to the dismay
Of your recollection
Towards the plans you
Laid out for your way.
Change won't give you
An extra moment
To have your kind of day.

Change dosen't care
Where you're from
Or who you are-
If you plan to sit around
and waste your time
Or if you'd like to go far...

Soon- everyone gets caught
in the dance of chance
For the wild romance of circumstance.

Your writing has a nice "way" about it -- you make the reader stop and say "Wow, I should have seen it that way all along...."

You are a keeper! So's the poem.....
