I long for the simpler times
  of yesterdays past
When the heartbeat of Life
  had a comforting cadence
Everyone knew what to
  expect from their world
For there was a sense of
  security in the day-to-day
  sameness
Alas, familiarity has given
  way to change
Soft breezes of gentler days
  have turned harsh and
   these winds of change are
    gathering speed as they
      sweep us down the
       information highway...
Faster
   and faster
       and faster
            and....
STOP!!!...I want to get off!!!

Modern technology is such a mixed blessing, is it not?!?--and the pace of life seems to be increasing as though time really is collapsing. I'm one who likes it slow and easy altho' that is not how my life is! I really do miss the gentler times...

Noah, ah, yes. It seems there is a ocean of us who feel as though they are being inundated with information, technology and a fast pace of life. I do miss the simpler times but I also appreciate many of the modern advances.
