I've tried, I've pushed myself beyond denial and still my steps are not heard. I've washed off the make-up that hides my flaws and still, I'm waiting for the healing to take place. I am naked in thoughts, sometimes exposing more than I should. To be accepted, defects and all, I can do that of myself, but still, the loneliness creeps in and fogs the mirror, allowing the distortions in my life to reach me every morning. I've tried and tried, but somewhere inside I am not ready, I am mentally indisposed, for I have realized I can't do it alone, and each step I take circles me to where I started. I remember playing Sorry and Parcheezi when I was younger and never getting out of start. My siblings would send me back the moment I reached freedom. Somewhere inside me, I hide those scars and until they heal, I am stuck here at the beginning, fearing more. "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

"I've tried and tried, but somewhere inside I am not ready, I am mentally indisposed, for I have realized I can't do it alone, and each step I take circles me to where I started" this is uch a powerful poem and I esp liked the above stanza. thank you Amy, I have... two under nakdthoughts, one of Lady Ollyne and another under Alicethruglass, so a total of 3 and I think that is quite enough of me if the last one even makes it. hugss M I am sure I have better poems, but it is hard to chose your own, so I picked ones that had a meaning to me. |
