you cling on to your tried-and-tested notions of black and write but don't you see~ even the polar bear is tainted with algae |

Is it algae? Sad that isn't it...they're so emblematic...purity and whatnot... I don't suppose you've read the children's story about the panda bear who couldn't decide if he was a black bear with white bits or a white bear with black bits... I like this, you...a lot... Ah, I do love a good short poem... K |

... indeed it's high time to be aware of the changes... of white that is no more white ... Wisely stated! Love, Margherita |

Kaile, you are so good at writing these short poems. You put so much truth into them. Keep writing and we'll keep reading. Hugs, Ethel |

Kaile, I have to admit my first reaction to this, more revealing than perhaps I should share, is: "No, the polar bear is tainted in blood!"..... Interesting write...causes me to think....something at which you are very good!!! I like this... Thank you, Hugs, Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |

Hi K, it was a surprise to see your name on my thread..thanks for taking the time out to respond and i'm so glad you liked this ditty as well...your approval makes me feel that i have done good...and i'm also surprised to learn that you have a soft spot for short poems, considering the poems i have read from you ...anyway, in case you come back, i havent got around to editing the Photographer piece yet (shame on me) but thanks to your excellent critique the other time, I have been trying to think more like a poet..i think my work has improved a weeny bit and it's all thanks to you littlewing, thanks for replying..though i guess it's easier for other people to spot your flaws than to spot them yourself, no? Sudhir, thanks for the cheer from your reply Margherita, "white that is no longer white"...that kinda left an ache in me..i guess i'm implying that in my piece myself but nothing like reading your sentiments straight-to-your-face...anyway, man, some things should be allowed to stay constant Ethel, what a huge compliment! thanks a bunch Pat, "tainted in blood" now that would be appropriate as well, considering how these polar bears are an endangered species...though i used "algae" because i visited the zoo last weekend and saw the polar bears dressing these algae coats...i guess it's hard to rear these animals in a tropical country thanks all..i didn't expect so many replies actually [This message has been edited by kaile (04-10-2003 11:51 AM).] |
