THE HOUSE

The house still stands
though its occupants went astray
The wind blew the seeds of love
so very far away
Where once abundant flowers grew
there is only the morning dew
An empty space that portrays my heart
nothing stays the same, everything departs.

The windows are so dark
yet they're tunnels to my past
I replay every day we lived here
right up to the very last
Everything looks so different and lonely
not at all like it used to be.

Goodbye came and turned it all upside down
Heartache came and shattered our dreams all around
And all it left was a heart so full hurt and a house so empty
It's all the proof i need,i'll never again let anyone see this heart inside of me.

Awww...sad...an empty house certainly does reflect a broken relationship, sometimes seems the spirit of both, just gone, no light left in either.
