ENDED DAYS

I slowly walk through the pathways
seeing the cold and countless markers
of one's ended days

It's a flood of names i won't remember
until i reach one too cold to forget
the end came too soon for he lived just 19 years
I feel alone and empty fighting back my tears

For this stone is different from the others
because it belongs to my brother
Yet this stone is just a marker
too cold to convey
just how special he was
in every way

i wipe away my tears and head back through the pathways
of a loved one's too soonly ended days.

LUV_R_GIRL~ A touching sad poem that I hope isn't true. I really enjoy reading your poems and your style of writing...Paul
