Oh Gloomy Heart

Oh gloomy heart,
Why do you beat so faint?
And why do you crumble
About your edges so?

Oh dreary heart,
Why do you look so blue?
And why do act and sing
Of songs and plays so low?

Oh bleak heart,
Why do you seem so hushed?
And why do you to yourself mumble
Of long forgotten foe?

Oh grim heart
Why do you seem so lost?
And why have you forgotten
Of the you I used to know?
