standing on a shadow's lace

Delicate Cord

what is this
invisible string
that holds one heart
to another
with power
to bind and trip
today I twist
in tangle
I grab and hold
each knot
on finest of
silk threads
as not to slip
in unravel
spinning silently
gathering pieces
winding and coiling
weaving floss
till you again
touch the lace
