Can you tread on sacred ground
and not remember?
feel the passion
and now be so cold?
Can two hearts
once joined ever really be apart?
When did you start loving me
and how did you stop?
If candle's flame
still burns deep in my soul
are you out there somewhere
feeling the same?
I know I'll live on
but I will always die again
at mention of your name.

When in walk of hallowed ground
remove the shoes and wash the toes
let her rhythm sing the round
and slow the heart to beat with hers
Remember that the seed will fly
pushed from stem by winds of time
and wait there dormant in the dust
to grow again, in act of trust,
rains are but the tears of sky
and sun will shine on the unjust
as surely as it paints the saint
with a halo bounding head.
There is no such thing as "dead"
and emptiness is voice of need--
a yearning for the self fulfilled.
Home is where we plant ourselves.

y'inspired me.

Hope ya don't mind?

I loved your poem and just wanted to sing too.
