I float alone
in a black sea
cold and shivering
until the dark skies break away
to the shining rays of light

Our incandescence hearts
call to each other
with subtle sparks
saying this to all

You are that sunrise
I stay awake to see
the first touch of golden sun
I so anxiously need

The gloom is washed down the shore
Forever more
when you dare to be near

all that I can see brightens
for the light you bring
warms me from the dark sleep
I have been in
and I know my fate is not to be feared
for love draws close to me

Storms will no longer toss me
in this forbidden abyss
for your love has reeled me in
and the radiance you show
tells me I am almost home
