In Spring we had our love affair, Harmonious and splendid; By Summer it was hardly there, And Autumn saw it ended. I know she found another man, More passionate and tender, And where I ended, he began With scintillating splendor. I know the sweeping verse he writes Makes mine seem dull and shoddy, And every word she reads ignites A flame within her body. I know whatever way I claim To be an awesome lover, He'll more than likely be the same, And more than ten times over. It's true he's all I hope to be, So I won't raise an eyelid When hearing later on that he Rejected her, as I did. |

Makes one wonder if she ever truly loved either. Perhaps they were merely...pawns. Enjoyed. ![]() [This message has been edited by Sunkissed (04-08-2003 10:32 AM).] |
