I know this is a bit out of season, but it's a work in progress that's suffered several revisions. What do you think?

Long, hot days of summer
draw nearer to an end
as the harvest moon shines down
and autumn’s flights begin.

Cool October winds
breathe upon a land
of brilliant forest colors
painted by a magic hand.

Fields lie stark and barren
where season’s crops are done,
but days are far from lazy
when winter's sure to come.

Across the hillside echos
haunting, lonesome calls
as the wolf song serenades
the coming of the fall.
