I just heard her, a virtuoso at twelve. Asking
forgiveness in advance that her name put the song
Aura Lee in my mind while I wrote this. She
played Rossini of course, something from Figaro.

Christel Lee

A little girl, her violin
almost oversize,
on the stage a tiny elf,
one with ageless eyes,
takes a moment just to tune,
turns dantily around;
fills up this enormous room
with butterflies of sound.

Listening to every heart

Aura Lee is one of my favorite piano pieces to play...

and I have seen those young ones kick some serious stars' behinds....

I wish her well...
and I thank you for sharing this moment.

That was really good. I've never heard her play or even heard of her until this poem, but she sure must have some talent!

You might be able to hear her. This was at my church this morning, Crystal Cathedral, and will be broadcast on Hour Of Power I think, next week.

She's about the size, and apparent mass, of a cello....

....and when not playing, just a cute little kid, could be a neighbor.
