It was the fall of my innocence
lost in the alleys of spilled conscience
sold my soul for the moment
but now left empty

The devil dosn't feed you anymore
after he has your soul
just sits there and laughs
as you twitch

I turn on the religious channel to find
100% pure, no additives
salvation
only finding a pink hair lady
and someone wanting money
I din't know God needed money
I sent money to the jesus shopping channel
"if you donate $100 we will send you this
fine gold engraved pen"

I was such at peace
Amen brother
God was in my soul
as I opened my pen of salvation
and proceeded to write bad checks
to pay for my rent
knowing it was blessed
