Cycling

Each day I wait for night to come;
in dark, I have no face.
Each night I pray for time to pass,
to touch the light's embrace.

A cycle it has come to be
for never does it seem,
to let the moment's offerings
be more or less the dream.

Each day I wonder, even though
I wake to sun's warm glow,
why all around me birds are singing
rain or dry or snow.

Each night I hear the quietness
of world in sleeping's hold,
and yet it's then that channels me
in wondering's unfold.

Cycling, the years have passed
and still my breath is seen.
Some day when right, the time will end,
this stage of in between.

M

Dear M, the second sad one in one day! But it is also so beautifully written .... and there is hope. May you hear the night's whispers of beauty.
Your yearning for the light's embrace is deeply felt.
Hugs. Margherita

The in - between,
is where we grow.

As the zen masters say...it is the space between the bars,
that keep the tiger in.
(or the silence between notes...that makes the song)

From the in between...your words have sprung.
And you have shared beautifuly.

This is so sad! Very nicely done, good images and good meter. But so sad! I don't want you sad.

This is sad, but in between is something we all know. May your in betweens be filled with sunshine spilled randomly and effusively.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown
