TIME STANDS STILL

T--he ticks on the clock
I---ntermittently stop
M-aking the time away from you
E--ternally long

S--econds seem like minutes
T--icking echoes in continuous reverb
A--nalog vs. chronological
N--either seem to be faster
D--igital or numerical
S--lowly ticking away

S--ubduing me to the
T--orture of the wait
I---mmobility is the word of the day
L--iterally watching time tick by
L--onging for the moment I see you again
