I feel like a giddy school-girl, Just getting to know her but still, She isn't allowed to date but still; All my emotions so often fought back, Every bit as if oatmeal brought to boil With surface explosions spreading me. I feel like the sky is bluer, Her father is fanatical but still, Chances are slim to none but still; Hopes that I had squashed for fear, Now rising like sweetened smoke For all the fates to smell and taste. Bravado must do where my courage has failed, If it serves me well I will be happily haled. |

I love this one! Especially this great line: "All my emotions so often fought back, Every bit as if oatmeal brought to boil With surface explosions spreading me." |

Here it is in the middle of the night and now you have me thinking of the oatmeal and raspberries I'll be eating in the morning...James |
