Helpless there
in decompose
straw in mounds
beyond my reach
weeping at the parody
of me, no claim
to be scarecrow.

I thought it was a likely end
To watch myself taken by wind
when I felt the hands of friends--
stuffing back the life in me.

There is no city made of gem.
The emeralds are in the eyes
of all who had the heart to weep
with healing love, the salt of life.

K - have you been watching "The Wizard of Oz?"  Ok seriously - (was trying to make you smile)
The only things that can be put back are things that were already achieved in the first place  - this is lovely, my friend and I am sure everyone will agree when I say: Hush hush . . . for your hand has been extended more times than your straw has fallen out (my straw on the other hand is piling up around my feet) This is beautiful K - may you always shine  . . .  xxoo

There is no need for wizards ...
no need to ask for hearts that beat brave.
You need only to look in the mirror ...
to find the truth and justice that you crave.

Its always been there in your own reflection ...
its just that sometimes life blinds our sight.
But your headed in the right direction ...
when you follow (and warm in) your own light.

There's no yellow brick roads that lead us back to true ...
home is where your heart is, the true is inside of you.

(forgive the cliche' baby)

As the saying goes, "The proof is in the pudding", but in your case, Dear One, the proof is in the stuffing!--and a mighty fine stuffing it be!

Warm hugs,
Linda

Thank you sweet Sue...and I'll be around for a chat. Just want to read some peace into my head first. (maybe the vivaldi, eh?) love ya lady. thank you.

And you!Jan!
I have learned a little something about cliche'. They are words that express a universal meaning, words that convey what many have  felt, throughout time, quite often words of love. And I ask, what the hell is wrong with that?

love ya m'twin.

thank you

And then you turn around and stuff the life
back into yet another scarecrow...

Thank you.

Since I am new here I know I don't know you, but what I do know is what I read. I have been lifted, and delighted with your words, and that way more than once. When I see your name I sure look forward to what's in store when I click.
