Spring Truck Spring

What good's a work truck
on a warm spring day?
The little girls know, waving
from behind the schoolyard fence.
Today I'm waving back and spooling up
my strobes to make them giggle. I know too.
This truck is perfect for a warm spring day.

Heh -- big ole light bar on the top -- two, actually, like a cop's but yellow and white.

Next time you see one, maybe it'll be me, so wave and see if they light up!

Well, a nice truck but I hate it if the truth be told..... a 3/4 ton Dodge, with long bed and extended cab.... when you drive up in it everybody assumes you're the boss, but really it's about like driving a school bus.... I'll take small and nimble any day, and earn whatever respect I need without using a vehicle as a crutch....

LOL -- been wondering when somebody would bring that up....

By way of moving me toward (but not fully to....) normalcy, this and Riding With Angels /pip/Forum64/HTML/002969.html are from the same day, same street, same time.....this almost ended up as part of that poem.
