Oh Mother,
what has become of you?
Dear Father,
  I speak of you . . .

Take one glance around you
see what you have created

Your ghosts have been bestowed upon us
like a place setting at a feast

A feast of not food
but of our souls
which we have been knawing on
since birth

Sounds as though you have had a difficult early life. Hope that that is all behind you!
---thank goodness you didn't knaw all of your soul away! You still have lots of it left as is evidenced by your fine poetry!

Warm hugs from my wings to yours...

what a powerful write

why do fathers never see the damage done
& rarely stay involved after
too painful ?
or just cowards letting the abandoned
feal what they refuse to deal with
- I could relate -
candid & touching

Sue,
I'm sorry for your difficulties. But I am so impressed by your writing. You make me proud! Keep up the GOOD work.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Sue, I thought for sure that I had already replied to this. But apparently not. I'm glad that I didn't miss it this time.

You know, your user name fits you very well.  "littlewing"....like an angel.

Hugs,
Ethel

I first thought you were speaking of the Universal Mother and Father ...
Anyhow this saddens me, the words cut deep .... it means you have done a great job!
