His Thrilling Ways

I had a little inchworm,
Ajax was his name;
He used to measure out the miles
Each increment the same.

He was so much fun to have
Marching up my arm
Or pacing out my finger’s length
Was his very special charm.

Have you ever had an insect pet
To mesmerize your days,
One that knocked the socks off you,
By its unique and thrilling ways?

Thanks, Martie! I was beginning to think no one was going to read this one. So glad you liked it. "Inchworm" is one of my favorite songs! I was 16 when I had Ajax, he was green and adorable. I was nice, I finally let him go back into the wild.
