a bright red top
spun around itself
in an spirited exercise
to dance the ballet
while the young one
who set it loose
kept urging the toy
to not stop dancing

six other kids clapped
four of them jumped
two of them shrieked
but one of them was still
with palms clasped
feeling energy around him
yet in devoted attention

then in a sudden motion
he threw a rope on the feet
of the spinning toy
and with one smart pull
lifted it heavenwards
and down she came
to land easily on his palm
continuing her motion
as if answering his prayers
offered in loving devotion

six other kids stopped clapping
and with wide open mouths
stared at the bright red thing
as if overawed by the obedience
of the toy to the will of its master

of course they were too young
to know that force as Love
but, one kid felt the force
as he wrapped his other palm
around the bright red top
bringing her spin to a stop
brought her to his lips
and kissed her cheek
before sprinting away
enjoying new-found glee

he never forced her to spin again

but when the soft breeze flows
and the sun sets in its romantic best
when crimson marries bright red
the spirited dance continues
in the chambers of his soul
and the lifeless bright red top
spins as if self evoked
and very much alive

Sudhir, this felt like a life lesson revealed to me by a master...  and come to think of it...  it was!  Wonderfully spiritual and descript -- left me with a hard-to-describe feeling of a privileged witnessing.  Well done, Sir!

It made me feel as though I wanted to run around
and show it to everyone..marvelous!!
You have come a long long way with your writing..this is exceptional!!

I agree with Nancylee...this needs to be a book submission, Sudhir...
and don't make me come and warm your hide... ...

please consider this one for the book...

Thank you so very much Mark, Nancy and Karilea...

You are all so very kind...

I have already submitted two and with all your support, both have been selected. I would rather that others also have their works showcased in 'our reflections'... I am sure, if we continue like this, Ron will think of another book to follow... then maybe I will submit this one or maybe with some luck, I will write better ones...

Thanks, once again... for all your support... kindness and generosity...

Regards,
Sudhir
