standing on a shadow's lace

Moon Dream

I have waited
in patient
anticipation
holding out
for the dawn
to break darkness
in a moon dream
just a spark
to fly from
under weight
of sky
now one flicker
has brought
twilight fireworks
to tear into night
once so inactive
and light floods
open to
miracle sight
melting the colors
of me
and my heart
belongs to you
