I am no longer trapped within wringing my hands, one over the other in a nervous dance of fingers and palm. I've reached a place of calm, as the past recedes, along with deeds, into the back of thoughts at last. No longer is it necessary, the chewing of nails as words assail, protection, preservation of self, I've peace within myself. The dance of nerves is finished, no longer in need of forgiveness. From you it wasn't enough since you couldn't forgive in love, Instead you demanded your pound, flesh ripped from me like a shroud, then waved in your victory, yet you've won nothing, don't you see... For the dance is finally done, and neither of us has won. WhiteRose 03/29/03 |

I think you are wrong about both of you losing.... if you have become that strong, you won :-) Great job! Failure isn't failure if a lesson from it is learned ~ KS |

Anne, I agree with Kristie Sue. Friend, if you're that strong, you are a big winner. I wish I could just forget about some things that happened in the past so that I could just get on with my life with my Love. I just hope that he keeps being as patient, loving, and understanding as he is now. I do beleve he will, though, because we've been together for over five years now. Well, I didn't mean to say all that. This just made me think of my own situation. Maybe I could settle things of my past more if my late husband was still around. There are some things I've learned since he died that I would certainly like to confront him about. Well, I guess I'll hush. Hugs, Ethel |

So much strength in the first verses... so much sadness in the latter... so much excellence in the whole of the write. *S* |

As always, with your work, I really like this one. "I don't need to scream for you to deem me aggravation." |
