“BLUES ANGEL” by Bill Charles ~~~~ Once more I write words of that living guitar, the way it plays and all, mostly blues though, guess it was with me the day I was born, I always felt it inside, from a long time ago… Wasn’t born in the south, but way up north, must have been that blues angel touching me, with all of that rhythm in my hips and such, picked up a branch, even played it you see… Don’t remember when I finally got the wood, but it sure sounded good when strumming, closed my eyes and those chords came out, melodies I could hear within, starting humming… Then I started playing on that stage in front, having fun, singing songs, and looking for you, a smiles charm caught my wandering eyes, when I was shaking hips, it’s what I do… ~~~~ |

There is a road we early take For some of us it means Blind Blake And then there's some that need Chopin or tap their feet to timeless Joplin But when the soul begets deep longin' And sad the music I need a song in, I reach for BB or maybe Huddie and still they solace me, good buddie. Fine write...Ken J Through rubble and trouble and dark of night |

(smiles) I bet Ray Charles and Stevie Ray Vaughn must have had visions and the Blue Angel came down to them and said they were chosen to be blues legends and their determination got them far as the angel has spoken to you too! (big hugggssssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, I'm not sure what kind of musical angel came...oh wait, it was Ms. Doyle of course, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bill, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Bill...As you can tell, I love your poetry. I loved this blue and jazzy poem. I could almost hear you playing your guitar and swaying back and forth to the rhythms of the song. Another great poem, Bill ***Ivy Rose |
