The claw through splintered pine and soil leaves fingers worn and raw to bone The burn of air in lungs atrophied and sting of light to opened eyes the pennies removed Overground in tattered pile weary from the climb recoiled from reflection in muddy pool Beautiful no longer forced to find contentment in breath alone Thus passed the glory of my world ____________________________________________________ Ok first I'm not sure the Latin is correct, the original saying is Sic Transit Gloria Mundi, I'm not sure if my world would be Mundi Mei or Mundi Meus anybody know? Yes my darkest I know, self reflection she is a b--ch.. [This message has been edited by Aenimal (03-29-2003 03:11 AM).] |

This is so dramatic dear Raffaele! But beautifully written! You are so talented ..... and I do hope that you exorcise your fears and worries with these powerful words. I am not a latinist but it doesn't sound wrong to my ear. Miserere mei Deus! Hugs. Margherita |

Sue ironically I look like gollum too, ah well. Thanks coco Margherita thank you for the compliments as always and as for the latin I was just unsure because mei and meus both mean my. |
