In This Light Simply soulfully I've been touched to extremes Ever kind and so delicately true So, understand that beneath this generous sky I'm going a mile back to remember you... It's here, in brilliant form, one moment at a time That I replay with all of my might So, understand if I tend to grasp at your memory When the only sweetness I've known lies in this light... The road home is an honest pace to recall And, misty-eyed I still smile Understand if I sigh in the missing you kind of way So, in this light let me roam awhile... I cling to eternity in loyalty won A glimpse back in the aisles of complete Understand I may reside here the rest of my life In this light where my mind allowed us to meet... I kneel to any season and for any given reason When in this light I'm given is brighter then the sun Understand that everything you are I still see in me And, with you in the distance I can't help but run... For the sake of safe keeping I take it all in Knowing somewhere in my days your heart I'll find Understand I hold familiar with each hard to take breath When in this light I can't touch what is mine... Never narrow be the rays we're tenderly given And, ever blessed I am for every memory I'm living Understand in this light you are heartily seen And, when you feel it may you recognize me...
