Don't dare me
to not undo
everything
I think is done.
Tell me an eclipse is born
and watch me stare into the sun.
Don't tell me that fire's hot--
don't pretend we all forgot
the puff of skin
the rise of yearn
(strange, there's water
within burn)
something in us
wants to live--
desperate flames
in bite of bark.

Something in us
begs a spark
and laughter
crackles
in the dark
mockery of moon in shine--
lunar lakes of lullabye
something in us
hugs "goodbye"--
as we kiss "hello".

something in us, begs to leave...

as we dig our roots down deep,
fingering the Earth in keep
knowing
we're
ephemeral--
we build towers
knowing all
will crumble to the lace of vines...

as something in us, prays for time.

And something in us, weeps.

K - I do know this one too:

we're
ephemeral--
we build towers
knowing all
will crumble to the lace of vines...

Not always . . .  not always - but the building - a slice of life my sis - to be savored . . .  this is lovely, wrenching but beautiful  - as always bringing me to your heart and MAKING me feel - just like you were meant to - just like you do . . .  xxoo

(big hugggsssssss) Yes...something in us always weeps, and I think it will be this way in times like these for so very long, until the water inundates to the point the burn can't be felt! (sad sigh) This is so well written, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
